DSEA-R Executive Board Meeting

Meeting Minutes
Attending: Sonya Brown, Jim Testerman, Rich Phillips, Dorothy Mack, Linda Stigile, Jim Byers, Jeannie Beldyk-Byers, Norman Poole, Steve Smith, Carla Pyle, Rudy Norton
I.Call to Order @ 10:13 a.m.
Agenda of January meeting was sent to Board members. Not available at this meeting.
II.Annual DSEA-R Spring Meeting
A.10:00 a.m. registration
B.Board members will be there @ 9:30 to set up.
C.As of last week, 41 registrants
D.Linda Stigile will place nominations on the floor and call for nominations from the floor. If more than one nominee for an office, a statewide ballot will be sent out.
E.Musical entertainment being checked on by Dorothy Mack. We need to be prepared to move some afternoon activities up if there is no entertainment.
F.Jack Polidori wants to speak tomorrow. He’s to speak about death benefit/burial insurance.
G.Dorothy Mack was telephoned and she has not arranged for musical entertainment.
H.If DSEA brings a laptop, Steve Smith will show the new DSEA-R website (www.DSEA-R.org).
I.Amendments to agenda will be Jack Polidori’s presentation and Steve’s website presentation instead of music.
J.Rudy and Steve will go to Dover Downs today to check out the room for tomorrow.
K.Jim Testerman read his Legislative Committee report for tomorrow.
L.Yvonne has 53 people as of now who have signed up for tomorrow’s spring meeting.
M.Door prizes – Norm will check on tickets, Sonya will get some, Dorothy has one
III DSEA-RA
A.Friday working table there by 4:30 p.m.; Saturday working table set up at 7:30 a.m. / working 9:00 a.m.
B.DSEA-R 10 minute presentation by Norm. Be sure to discuss website. Refer questions to DSEA-R representatives at the table. Linda Stigile will share talking points from her presentation.
C.Sonya put together an Italian basket for the RA.
IV. Strategic Action Plan - Debbie Stevens will help
V. .Welcome back bouquet and card to be sent to Debbie Weaver when
she returns on Monday, 4-14-08. Approx. $35 will be taken from
DSEA-R budget for this.
