DSEA- R Strategic Planning

It was a long 2 days of strategic planning, but all of the participants felt that the time spent & brain cells stimulated were well worth the effort to make DSEA-R a better organization.

So what did we accomplish, you ask? Check out the following:

A PROPOSED MISSION STATEMENT:

DSEA-Retired is a professional organization that advocates for the rights and interests of its members, retired pubic education employees; provides valuable information through workshops and other media; and fosters collegiality through social events.

THREE ACHIEVEABLE, PROPOSED GOALS:

Communications

GOAL: Bolster the current DSEA-R communication program by developing a 2-way, interactive communication system.

Membership

GOAL: Recruitment and Involvement

Political Action

GOAL: Increase active members involvement in the Political Action Process by 5% within three (3) years in order to benefit policy and laws for the benefit of our members.

Specific details for accomplishing each of the above goals will be shared in the upcoming DSEA-R newsletter as well as in the DSEA Action.

Every DSEA-R member will have a voice. In the August/September mailing from DSEA-R, you will receive your calendar for the 2008-2009 year, plus additional information. Watch for it in the mail.
